We have recently become aware of bogus e-mails, letters and faxes, which have been received by individuals in many parts of the world, claiming to be from Marathon Asset Management LLP or individuals working for Marathon Asset Management LLP. These communications typically relate to arrangements for the transfer of funds or seek to obtain personal information and/or money. These communications are not genuinely from Marathon and appear to be part of a scam orchestrated by someone using our name illegally and without authorisation. We have been alerted to such communications being sent and have reported them to the police. If you have received a bogus communication we strongly advise that you do not respond to it or communicate further with the person who sent the mail/letter to you.
